hi syrup! I'm aki, and I bring Aerith from FFVII. I have to say as another WoL player that I love your icons; I have considered commissioning Zee before and it's nice to see how the style works for a WoL!
Anyway! Unsure how canon aware you are of 7, but if there's anyone who makes a perfect friend and companion for a WoL, it's going to be Aerith. Also she'll straight up bully him into taking care of himself, not just others.

So there's definitely going to be some awkward here with Aerith being 6 years older than him! I see your misc and that's no problem at all, especially given their age difference as it stands! She has her feelings and whatnot but I'm getting the vibe that she's gonna kind of see him as her "boyfriend's younger brother" or something, someone she has to take care of because he is important to her without being romantically attached.
Does that sound good? ♥ Happy to tweak and work with things etc.

Info: Wiki Tzarist Russia with a fantasy spin. He is the protagonist. An ancient Shadow Summoner who wants to take over the power in Ravka (Russia) and bring safety and peace to his people. He has magic (called Small Science) and he wants to protect all the other magical people in the world - while ruling everyone. 400 years ago he created a Shadow Fold, and made the volcra (monsters) that live in it, from soldiers and innocent bystanders. Trying to go in to the Fold, will bring these volcra out and they murder / eat everyone they can get their claws on. Since then, he's tried to gain more power, and to find a Sun Summoner. His balance. When he finds her, shenanigans and murder happens and he enslaves her by forcing an amplifying collar around her neck. The Sun Summoner does not take this well, and rebels- casting off his control of her powers and throws him in to the Fold where he believes he was devoured by his own creations.
Soulmate(s): There is no belief in souls in his world, and he doesn't believe in emotions. So, no.
Shadow: Since the Darkling's main fear is being left alone / being forever alone, his shadow will prey on this feeling. The soul-crushing abandonment issues that he has and his own reluctance to seem 'weak'. Being weak is being ruled by emotions of any kind and might manifest by lashing out, grand displays of emotions in public and a general feeling of being totally and utterly alone.
Plotting: This is not at all helpful, but I want it all! Friends (ha!) and enemies are all very welcome! He's superficially nice to most people at first, but will try to use any and all people who might trust in him even a little bit.

I’m not very certain how my grumpy old vampire will get along with your stalwart old hero, but I can see them at least being acquaintances. Augustine would be rather impressed to hear about Cedrik’s many adventures. Think of Augustine as a less Shakespearean Urianger mixed in with a little bit of Y’shtola’s brand of directness and intellect.

Soulmate(s): not only will Aerith look for soulmates, but she'll likely be the person checking in on those who don't and trying to make them get a soulmate or two, even if she has to stand in, so that they at least have someone. she is definitely going to need people who are there for her too, of course, although she'll deny that!
Shadow: Aerith's shadow will by nature be selfish and stubborn both, a potentially messy combination under any circumstance. But it will also really play on her fear of loneliness, trying to make her feel like she's alone and has no one, or that her friends are better off without her. It will inspire her to try to cling selfishly to the bonds she's made, as well as feelings of being unwanted, or a nuisance.
Plotting:
❀ Like others have said before me: at the moment, really anything goes!
❀ Looking for people that are okay with her bullying them to change their network name to something based on flowers or the environment in general.
❀ She'll probably want a bodyguard. Not because she can't hold her own, but because she's sensible and knows she's not the strongest person in the world.
❀ It's probably no surprise to anyone who knows her that Aerith will make her home in Serene. So neighbors of course would be nice.
❀ Friends in general are also more than welcome. Let her talk your ears off about the flowers she finds in Stygia!
❀ She's definitely more the positive CR type than negative CR, but I'm always down for the latter if we can find a way to make it work organically!

he has never taken down an aerial predator before so yeeting something at it is a perfect legit possibility tbh
otherwise i'm sure he'll darken sakura's doorstep eventually because he's (1) a dumbass, (2) going to be having some unfortunate and strange health issues in the future but for now we can play it by ear and see what comes up naturally
