Welcome fellow FFXIV, comrade! I don’t play from FF on dreamwidth but it’s always good to see a fellow WoL around.

I’m not very certain how my grumpy old vampire will get along with your stalwart old hero, but I can see them at least being acquaintances. Augustine would be rather impressed to hear about Cedrik’s many adventures. Think of Augustine as a less Shakespearean Urianger mixed in with a little bit of Y’shtola’s brand of directness and intellect.

Comrade! \o/ Thank you, I'm excited to get to play him outside his comfort zone. Augustine caught my eye on the TDM, though I chickened out from tagging him at the time. Though I do think they could have potential! Grumpy and old isn't much of a deterrent for him, and on a quieter note I think he'd appreciate knowing someone who understands the whole 'extended longevity' problem, even if Augustine's is on a much larger scale.

Haha! Augustine might look a bit scary but he's actually shockingly tame despite his unusual appearance.

Goodness, Augustine understands the problematic nature of longevity quiet too well. Just ask his aching bones at this point! Seriously though, Augustine can definitely relate with Cedrik on so many levels. While he's no adventurer, Augustine is no stranger to wanderlust. Even now, he's already wandering a little bit through Stygia. Though, Augustine is pretending it's merely reconnaissance on his part.

Oh there's absolutely going to be a moment where Cedrik questions whether or not he's looking at a Voidsent when they meet in person! But once that's cleared up they'll be fine. If they're both going to be taking in the sights, maybe they could cross paths?

A voidsent! Oh, my goodness! I'm laughing my arse off because Augustine does kind of look like a voidsent, webbed wings and all. Yes, they should meet up! Augustine been hanging around the harbor lately since that's the only area in Stygia that reminds him of Hawthorne, his home.

Maybe Cedrik can find Augustine skulking around there?

Right now the harbor is probably the best spot to find work, in Cedrik's opinion, plus it's direct access back to the Shadowlands if he ever needs to check on his tethers. All that to say: it'd be easy for them to find each other around there, I agree!
