Info: I have the usual hobbies most people have in dwrp! Mostly enjoying content... which is now webnovels and videogames, sometimes i love watching garbage shows or horror stuff for fun (is it really fun). i like a lot things a moderate amount, though i guess to name my main fandoms i tend to talk about: orv, ff14, and yokotaroverse. also, i own a pug with a muzzle.

A "regressor" is a popular trope in Korean fiction — the time traveler, an individual who can go back in time and change the future. Yoo Joonghyuk was originally the dark, jaded, broody, and handsome main protagonist of Three Ways to Survive in a Ruined World by tls123, Kim Dokja's favorite webnovel, but has broken out of the confines called the "character." With a setting that promotes violence, Joonghyuk is written to be ruthless, close to psychopathic, yet beholden to (his) ideals and optimism. He believes that there is a perfect timeline where the world can be saved and he will suffer as many regressions for however long it takes to get there. Through his struggles and perseverance, the reader is inspired to also never give up.

Importantly, he's incorrigible and a handful and i hate him

Soulmate(s): Not immediately, no... But I am hopeful for the future where he isn't paranoid?? Or maybe makes friends? OOCly, I'm definitely open to working up to that since Joonghyuk isn't against using others. Sometimes you're a man that turns a nice and kind of sweet mechanic into... Not that. However, he is also the type to bond extremely quickly, so!!!

Shadow: closes my eyes probably encompasses the worst of Joonghyuk (paranoid, violent, judgmental, cheering him on to be a mass murdering monster) and goading him to jump to conclusions. It is funny because Joonghyuk hates being told what to do, even if this is a part of him allegedly, so he will 1v1 his own shadow even if he might agree with their suggestions.

Plotting: At the start, I'm mainly open to anything! Joonghyuk would be looking for (useful) allies to i guess... looks at smudged writing on hand make money and explore this underworld, learn lore and try to find a way out. Because of his disposition, I imagine that cheerful, friendly, etc. or just overly obnoxious clowns would be fun cr! But I am also open to negative/he just dislikes you for no reason cr, which is also easy to make. in general, if he could make any friends at all, i would be proud.

how hard is it for dimitri to act in a way for yjh to like him??

i'm glad to know that how that thread went is that they started fist fighting over the stupid ruby and that again yjh is going to hold this grudge over dimitri until he dies again

I really loved their thread with Zag going 'wait, someone knows my parents??? and someone knows that they are my parents?' it really gave him the reality check that he's not in Kansas anymore.

Also as somewhat of a sunshine, especially because Zag died over and over and over again already, and he's still all ':)' about things, I volunteer to continue this CR.

KJJKGS poor zagreus... joonghyuk isn't as weirded out cause he's used to things, but he thinks zag is tolerable. also cause he isn't olympus proper.

perfect. i hope that at some point they can also connect on the part that they've literally died so many times, but joonghyuk is the bitter one.

Zag really needs some of that world-weariness. Teach him your ways, yjh.

Please, I find that such an interesting parallel to work with. I'd love for them to get some terminology confusion like mentioning regression and the question marks that would follow

I keep looking at orv and I'm very interested in it but it's so long... I wish I had all the time in the world just to read everything I want to read!

They would probably make terrible CR because of conflicting ideals and means to an end type attitudes but I would absolutely be interested. Joonghyuk sounds like a fun character.

I still have your TDM tag to respond to, sobs. I had two papers due right around then and dropped everything.

yeah it is... long but it's definitely worth it clutches fist. the webtoon is p good too, at least!!
