Hi Jayce! Super excited to see you here. I'll add you on plurk (so expect a friend request from epimythia). Naruto and Shikamaru's friendship in the manga was always really interesting to me, so I'd love to explore that in game more.

Accepted! And yeah, I actually really like their friendship and am absolutely looking forward to playing it out more! I've taken him from the first Kakashi light novel just for timeline reference.

I'm not familiar with the light novels, ALAS. My only request (with regard to timelines) is that if Shikamaru knows Naruto and Hinata end up together, he doesn't tell Naruto in Nightfell. Otherwise, we're good to go!! Naruto is from the end of the manga, right before the Blank Period.

Pretty much the only thing that matters timeline wise for him is he's about a year into the Blank Period and therefore a year older and Kakashi is taking the Hokage spot to keep it warm for Naruto. Shikamaru cares about 0% about other people's romantic lives so he definitely wouldn't bring anything about who was dating who up to Naruto! No problems or worries there.

BOSS, that makes things super easy. So, Shikamaru's a year older too! Naruto and Sasuke are the baby 18 y/os here (though Naruto's birthday is coming up again this month; he's going to be so confused about whether he's a year older or not LMAO). ANYWAY, looking forward to all the shenanigans they'll get up to in game c:

Same here! Shikamaru basically just does Even More Work now back home...his lazy carefree days, ruined by being competent.
