Info: henlooo. i'm fey, i also go by birb. i've been out of the rp sphere for a little while, but i mostly play ocs nowadays. i am a crazy cat lady (3 cats and a cat guest) who, aside from original fiction, dabbles in genshin a little. [flashing arrow points to me with "AR60"] i play a lot of games but genshin and ffxiv are my primary loves. you may see "EST" and think "ah yes this person is awake from--" NO, don't bother. even i don't know my sleep schedule. if i say i'm going to bed and you see me tagging or still on a game pls do not look my insomnia is terrible, ESPECIALLY with nano

ASPEN

Age: 26 (some info will say 25, they're not wrong, he's 25 in his main story but i am taking him after the main story)

Info: aspen is a 5ft tall, ethereal-looking humanoid with huge white wings and the voice of a princely angel. but don't let that fool you, because he's definitely not holy. he's spent the last year looking after his people and seeing their broken and battered hearts and psyches and it's torn him apart; as a result, he's been nursing a grudge against humankind for a little while now. aspen has spent the bulk of his life training and studying as a courtesan, both for the general public and for nobility - and on top of that, he's a fairly powerful mage. his ideals are gentle, wishing for the best and trying to leave the world better - but especially if you're unkind, he's not going to hold back. he's pretty manipulative and he's a big supporter of tough love, so he may not be the friend you want, but he may be the one you need.
Soulmate(s): this will be an uphill battle for any human characters, but non-human characters may find this easier. he's very guarded though, especially when it comes to his own mind, even though he will divulge things about his life to help others. if it helps someone else out, he'll probably be alright with it, and then pretend like it doesn't bother him after.
Shadow: so aspen has a near-ironclad set of morals that he wants to uphold? well then, what about we get rid of those? :^) aspen's shadow is slothlike and erratic in the same breath, and viciously full of rage and violence. he's far more likely to maim and injure than aspen will, as well as use his magics to poison and subdue in a lot worse ways. if you're at teatime with aspen and suddenly you're paralyzed and he's just staring at you menacingly... safe to say, his shadow has taken over.
Plotting: aspen's intent right now is to help the other restless settle and get them some actually good accommodation and healing. as a result, he's probably going to be looking out for good contacts and like-minded people who are more on the ambitious side. although aspen is a little shit when it comes to humans, i'm not, so i encourage both human and nonhuman CR! i'd also be down for some people he can flirt and tease just for fun, to let off steam. he's been a king for over a year now and he's so tired of acting proper, he wants to let loose. and he'll try to get other people to do the same. :> considering the dour circumstances of their existences right now, he doesn't want to be too serious.

First of all, I love his concept so much (but I'm also an OC player, so there's some bias there). But in terms of plotting and CR, Hibiki will also be doing what she can to make sure everyone is settled and taken care of, since that helps her not think about the fact that 1) she's dead, and 2) everything is awful. She is only half-human, so I'm curious what that might do (she's her universe's equivalent of a siren). She loves to joke and tease, so having that kind of CR with someone would be fantastic. Please bring out her secret sass, Aspen.

he's very accepting to half-humans! there are quite a few half-aurain kids running around back home so he's quite soft to them. do you mean siren like, you know, ocean-based creature who sings? aspen would be very interested!

The aviary version, actually! Although in-universe even the details on that are somewhat sus ~~some bard probably got pissed off and made up a bunch of things~~, but they are creatures who sing! But she hasn't killed anyone yet with her voice so that's probably fine.

awesome!! aspen is a performer so he's a dancer/singer/actor, he would love to bond with nonhumans that have some arts affiliations :> honestly he wouldn't blame her. he's probably injured someone through dance...
