Info: Greetings! I'm Ariel, an inspiring PNGtuber who does art and gaming streams on Twitch. I'm also a freelance artist whos currently in the work of writing a webcomic. Much to my grievances, I'm rather busy these days but I still enjoy roleplay. I'm also an avid fan of FFXIV, so feel free to hit me up if you want to chat about that.

Canon: Original Character ~~The Vampire's Garden~~
Age: 328 (looks approximately 30 something)

Info: Augustine is a world-weary dhampir with a strong passion for both the arts and gardening. He's a bit of a recluse, someone who lives a solitary life and tends to avoid other people. It's because of his reclusive nature that Augustine has difficulties relating with others. He's a bit apprehensive of people, especially because of his unusual heritage. Poor Augustine has been hunted before, so he's quite slow to trust. However, this doesn't stop him from assisting those in need. If someone looks like they're in jeopardy, he'll try to assist in any fashion possible. He's a bit of an oddball, to say the least.
Outside of his love for gardening, Augustine is a competent sorcerer hailing from the Umbran Collective, a circle of mages hailing from all corners of Volteria, with an affinity for Hemokinesis (Blood Sorcery), Demon Summoning, and Shadow Magic.
Augustine is one of the few vampires in his world to view mortals as equals in a society that views them as just food. While Augustine's love for humanity is well documented, he doesn't do well stomaching some of their ridiculous antics. That's why he tends to keep his distance from mortals in general. Soulmate(s): Augustine won't be actively searching for his alleged soulmate but he would be interested in meeting them. He's a little afraid of the thought of being so closely tied to another, especially since he lacks experience with that kind of intimacy. However, he'll most likely start actively searching for them once his *Shadow* makes their presence known.
Shadow: Augustine's shadow is nearly the complete opposite of him. Hedonistic, insatiable, and violent. In truth, the inspiration of his shadowy form will most likely seem quite demonic unlike the very quiet and mild-mannered Augustine but it will still be quite recognizable as him. His shadow side will undoubtedly try to gorge itself upon the flesh of others. That's something Augustine would never do willingly, especially since the dhampir rarely drinks blood.
Plotting: While I have nothing concrete just yet, I would love for Augustine to make a few acquaintances or at least befriend a few people he can trust. It's difficult to get him to open up to others, so I'm really looking for characters who are in it for the long haul here. Augustine wouldn't ever define himself as timid but he somewhat is. For all of his faults, I feel like Augustine would make a decent brotherly or even fatherly figure for some. I wouldn't mind exploring some other themes as well but currently, I have nothing concrete just yet. I'm open for both Positive & Negative CR accordingly! Okay so, she doesn't have access to any of her nature-based powers here due to canon point things, but I would actually love if he helps her really get into gardening.

HI DAUGHTER! :D Gosh, I'm so happy these two are going to run into each other here.

Well, she certainly found the right person to assist her. Augustine managed to cultivate his garden in canon through hard labor and a little bit of assistance from the fae folk of his world. However, he's no stranger to getting his hands dirty.

Me too to be honest. She never knew her dad ~~and hasn't gotten a chance to meet him yet, but hoo boy~~, so having a father friend in her life will be really good for her. She burns her candle at both ends, so someone who forces her to sit down and fusses at her is always appreciated.

Oooh, I love this actually? He can show her the basics and she can start collecting plants for her home (possibly stuff he's propagated?). But he can be the reason she caught the bug here. She is more naturally drawn to flowers and not afraid to get her hands dirty so c:

Expect him to fuss, especially since Hibiki has such a carefree and self-sacrificing personality. Augustine is bound to lecture the poor woman about that but even so, he would be oddly proud to know someone this genuine and caring. Hell, she's really going to remind him of Cass (a young college-bound artist who befriends him). That's a good thing since Cass and Augustine do end up with more of a father-and-daughter dynamic later in the story.

One of these days, Augustine is going to try to make his own greenhouse in this world but that's a far-off goal. For now, he needs to study more about the flora and fauna of this bleak world before he does anything. However, he's definitely going to teach her a few things about flowers. If there's one thing Augustine loves to talk about, it's gardening.

I'm very excited to see where this all goes!

Honestly? Having someone to make her realize that her sacrificing herself will hurt others would do her a lot of good--even if she will still believe that the ends justify the means. Having someone older really impress that upon her will probably do this girl some good, even if she might get irritated about it at times.

I felt so bad for Sakura once she learned the truth about him. There's more delicious lore about the nobles of his world. Sakura is definitely going to end up learning more about Augustine eventually.

Zack's... not into gardening and would probably kill any plant he touches. However, he has a soft spot for it because of his own mentor at home who he misses deeply and might be curious simply due to that connection of his. Zack's also a very high energy and young person though which might make for an interesting contrast to them if that would interest you. /o/

I would love for these two to meet, especially since Zack is so high energy in comparison to Augustine here.

The dhampir is more lowkey than anything else. He's slow to anger, usually, which makes him great for this kind of role. I can foresee Augustine rolling his eyes a little at Zack because of his antics.

I think this could be the start of a wonderfully chaotic friendship/mentorship! lol If he can get the guy to plant a flower without killing it accidentally, Augustine will feel so accomplished.

I am all aboard the eye rolling train! (Zack can be a bit much- and he kinda knows it. Sometimes. Not all the time lol)

But yes, I totally agree! /o/ Did you have any specific plans for where Augustine will be staying in the city? Zack's going to attempt to work on a fixer upper house seeing how uh. Friendly the locals are in dead land.
