Info:isekai protagonist who transmigrated from one unending nightmare into another. a perpetual victim in both her lives, rudbeckia's survival has hinged solely on her ability to perform a role: someone harmless, submissive, and people-pleasing. because it's the only thing she has that keeps her safe, she will never stop! she's a two-faced manipulative liar, cute and chipper on the outside, seething with bitter despair on the inside. (expect a lot of two part comment responses from me lmao.) prey animal instincts always turned on because she is absolutely up to her fucking eyeballs in trauma.

Soulmate(s): ABSOLUTELY NOT. PERSONAL CONNECTION BAD. however, she's aware that it's a thing she apparently needs for safety reasons, so she'll probably be sizing people up to find the least troublesome ones. obviously i as a player want her to get tangled up in all kinds of soulmate bonds.
Shadow: ruby's shadow has a two-pronged approach to her; one of them, the more invasive, encourages her existing bitterness and anger at others and will urge her to lash out. but she's good at swallowing that kind of thing. the way it's really going to get to her is the other side of the shadow, which is far more subtle and which she won't even be consciously aware of, feeding into her fears and insecurities to drive her self-isolation and her distrust towards others.
Plotting: ruby's gonna be actively looking for reliable people she can attach herself to - "reliable" meaning strong, honourable if she can get it, straightforward if she can't. she will present herself as someone a little bit helpless, but sincere and obedient, carefully toeing the line between someone who needs to be protected and someone who's dead weight. as fooor some basic cr hooks at this stage--
SUNSHINEY PRINCESS ☆ the persona ruby will adopt at all times is that of a kind and sheltered young princess who's honest and a bit of a crybaby. she's canonically VERY good at faking it and rarely breaks character in front of anyone (though observant or socially savvy characters might pick up that something is Not Right) so if you want persistently cheery friend cr for your sullen or prickly characters, she can fill that role!
TRAINING ☆ 100% a normal-ass person whose height of combat experience would be like, a slap-fight. in fact, she is used to responding to violence with absolute submission. soooo she's definitely going to need some people to help her become the bare minimum of useful, whether that's self-defence training or first aid lessons. she will in fact BEG people to help her with this.
MARKS ☆ like i said, ruby's biggest priority is people she can suck up to who will protect her, no matter what side they're on. if you want to get manipulated by an 18(?) year old girl (or even just pretend to, out of curiosity/amusement) who is at all times in hypervigilant survival prey animal mode, hit me UP !!
HOT GIRL SHIT ☆ once the restless as a group have sort of gotten the hang of things and settled into the world a bit, ruby is definitely going to want to do some normal things with people just for stress relief. come play dress-up and have a fashion show in her room! let's have a game night or something! she's gonna lose her goddamn mind if she doesn't scrounge up some shreds of escapism!!

Info: He is not a vampire, but he is immortal and enjoys the occasional red wine. He got fatally shot by a mad scientist several decades ago and used as an experiment, so he is the host of like three monsters and one demonic entity known as Chaos. Since they're triggered by intense emotions, Vincent is like an extremely emotionally repressed guy who spends like most of his time brooding and playing the self-blame game about "sins" that weren't actually his fault at all. He is kind of a dummy that way. Because he needs to keep his feels in check and he isn't particularly sociable in the first place, he typically likes to be alone. He can be very curt and solemn, yet he isn't a bad dude. Usually, he can be found in high places or abandoned buildings when he isn't busy with investigative work.
Soulmate(s): No. He has absolutely no interest in it, so he won't be actively seeking one out or inviting anyone to his 'home'. It will take quite some time (or hefty enough of an incentive) to get him to even humor the idea.
Shadow: His Shadow will do whatever it takes to get a rise out of him, so it'll constantly play on his internalized guilt and goad him. It essentially wants to make him lose control of himself. Real dick about it, to be honest.
Plotting: I'm open to all! Could be positive, could be negative. He isn't entirely convinced that this is the afterlife, so he is going to be interested in investigation and exploration. He will be doing commissions as well just to earn some keep, even though he doesn't really need it. (But money makes the world go round, so it's still good to have.) He's very much a loner, so even though he won't shy away from interacting with others, he won't go out of his way either. At the moment, he has keen interest in The Hierarchy and the mausoleum back in the Shadowlands.

Info: Grimmjow is an Espada, so long story short, he was dead long before he got here. He is also super stronk, super sadistic and super fighty. A simple dude with simple interests. He has a mask that's perma-attached to his face and a hole in the middle of his abdomen, which he has unwillingly hidden away beneath a t-shirt.
Soulmate(s): No, he thinks it's dumb.
Shadow: He's going to get along great with his Shadow! They're going to have a blast together getting into all the trouble and causing all the mayhem. In all seriousness though, his Shadow is probably going to hate him. They're going to bitch at each other a lot since Grimm doesn't like to be told what to do. It'll be a very chaotic (and hilarious) relationship, and who really knows who'll be the real winner here. That being said, his Shadow's favorite tactic would most likely be to prod at his hot temper. Piss him off. Set him off. Good times will be had.
Plotting: He wants to fight (and possibly eat) all the strong people, so THAT'S A THING. If he doesn't get to chow on strong people though, he'll probably snack on the monsters in the world and follow Ichigo wherever he goes since he is the #1 person he wants to fight here anyway. Grimm doesn't really give a shit about anything outside of that. If it wasn't for Ichigo, he probably would have just stayed in the Shadowlands. I'm open to all, but I expect him to have more negative CR than positive just because of how he is. He's definitely gonna get into trouble though.

Oh crap, someone who doesn't really have a family. Whelp, that's Hibiki's kryptonite (because she too has an awful/non-existent family situation), and the fact that he's so young means that Megumi is probably getting adopted. Sorry, it's time to have a bubbly blonde (who also fights corrupted spirits sometimes, funnily enough) attach herself to him.
Also I love Cloud so I will absolutely figure out a way to toss Hibiki his way, but that's probably lower priority between the two.

I never want to risk upsetting anyone in an RP environment, so please do not hesitate to hit me up with tag content restrictions. On the other side of the coin, I also love to share his horrible canon with folks who are up for it and Will is more than happy to get into your character's mind and rearrange the furniture a little. ;)
Soulmate(s): He will actively avoiding the idea of a soulmate, for a lot of reasons. Okay. For one large reason: Hannibal. But also in acceptance of his own monstrous nature.
Shadow: Manipulative as all hell, and it might seem a little challenging, at times, to be 100% sure if the Will you're speaking with is 'restless' Will or 'Shadow' Will, only because the two Will's have been coexisting for so long in his psyche. OOCly I will always make clear IF it is truly his Shadow that is in control (for plot reasons, etc) but from an IC perspective, it might be hard to tell the difference. Depending upon the subject of conversation.
Plotting: I really like to toss characters together and just see how they get along without any specific expectations. I find that often works best for long run CR.

DIMITRI!! Can I offer one sunny, optimistic blonde as a sparring partner? She fights hand-to-hand and can be absolutely brutal, but she doesn't have as much experience going up against someone with a weapon. As a giant fitness nerd, she will take his annoying jock-ness quite well, I think.

She thinks puns are the very height of wit and makes jokes out of everything, but underneath the bravado she is a girl from an isolated cult who has had little contact with other people and desperately wants social connections and frands ;;
Soulmate(s): Hard to say at this point, as she won't like the idea of anyone having any kind of access to her deeper self, but it's possible that trust could be built up to get there. Except for Harrowhark, who has already been in her head and survived so she'll be allowed re-entrance fairly swiftly.
Shadow: I haven't quite worked this out yet, but it'll probably be prone to being sullen, be swift to cave in to violent urges, mouthy and rude. Highly impulsive. An exacerbation of all her worst traits.
Plotting: I am so up for any and all kinds of CR. Gideon has been starved for affection and even decent conversation for most of her life so she'll be quick to befriend people willing to give her the time of day. Fellow sword ladies or anyone else who would be useful in a fight (prepare yourself for a million questions), and I'm also very open to negative CR!

Info: Claude is difficult to warm up to at first because he masks all his emotions with humour, and he's kind of a gremlin shithead, but once you get to know him... he's not much better! He's pretty friendly and relaxed for a ye olde king fighting a war, but the downside is that he will run 1000km if anyone ever tries to discern one (1) honest feeling from him.
Soulmate(s): (me, holding back tears) No. Unfortunately, Claude hates opening up and being vulnerable/honest, so he will probably be hiding from the thought of having even one soulmate. That said, I love the mechanic and am totally down to find a way to make it happen!
Shadow: Very cruel. Claude tries to be compassionate in dire circumstances, and sometimes it's easier to just be cruel, ruthless and take what you want by breaking down others. I'm not 100% sure if I'll go in this direction, but it's the first idea that pops into my mind!
Plotting: I wouldn't turn any CR away! I'd love for anyone relentlessly friendly to make friends with him, or for fellow shitheads to be lil gremlins with him. Anyone that wants to talk about Leadership and Responsibility. He also wants to learn as much as he can about his surroundings, so nerds/explorers! Also jocks, to be meat shields.

You had me at musclewoman, but I'm staying because puns are Hibiki's ultimate kryptonite. So this CR absolutely needs to happen, even if it's just that they're sparring/exercise partners (Hibiki is hand-to-hand so going up against someone with a sword will be spicy and she will love it).

Shadow: johanna's shadow will be all the worst parts of her, magnified and without any of her saving graces; the shadow will be cruel, selfish and antagonistic, lashing out maliciously at whoever's around to hurt them whether verbally, psychologically, or otherwise. if there's an opportunity even with her nerfed magic to abuse it, the shadow will undoubtedly make an attempt.

Info: Izutsumi is a 17-year-old who got kidnapped and merged with a cat monster when she was 6. Then she spent 6 years kept in a cage as a sideshow attraction. She reentered society when a nobleman brought her as a pet kitten for his mistress. She wasn't very happy to learn her new kitten was actually a feral child and spent ages trying to teach her how to person and be one of the family ninjas with limited success. So here's Izutsumi, still somewhat feral, but she blames that on her cat half. She's looking for a way to be human again but that's not going so well...
Soulmate(s): She will not be looking. She won't even admit her friends are friends, soulmate sounds too mushy for her.
Shadow: So we're taking all her selfish asshole parts and multiplying them by 1000x. Shadow Zumi will be extra bad about scratching and biting people just for the lolz and even more likely to steal and break things.
Plotting: Main plan at the moment is to get her any CR, though it'll probably be neutral/negative to start with because she's terrible and doesn't trust people. She is a ninja so she'll be adventuring and monster fighting, so I'd like her to get some buddies for that. Even if she's very 'I can do it on my own!' about it.
