[No it has to be a trick! There's no way that she could say two opposing things and both would be true! And insisting she's not trash, who was she fooling? Did this girl even have eyes? Anyone within sight could peg her as a total loser. Just look at her raggedy, smelly ass clothes! Her underwhelming body, her hag face, the rat's nest of her hair, the weakness in her shivering, her constant fidgeting! The stutter most of all. There was no way she could overlook those things and decide Fukawa was worth keeping around, not without proof!

And what has Fukawa proved of her worth here? That she could spool a piece of cloth around a leg? Who would be impressed with a thing like that? If she could learn it this quickly, obviously it's a skill of no importance at all!]
