MID-MONTH MOD POST

Look alive, dear Restless or try to! Your tiny mod team is here with a few reminders, questions, and announcements. Nothing dire, don't worry! You're an amazing bunch and this game is basically sailing itself.

ACTIVITY CHECK | CALENDAR

► Just a brief reminder that you can check-in and submit threads at any time during the month. Just make sure to post before OR on the last day of the month to avoid being swept from the game.
► For the next few months, please note that nothing on the calendar will be set in stone as we adjust to the flow of the game as well as the player base. Mind you though, changes shouldn't be drastic (if there's any!), so you can still absolutely use it to get a general idea of what will be occurring and when. The influence of the Moons, on the other hand, is 100% immutable!

GAME CAP & APPLICATIONS

► As you probably already know, we've reached game cap right off the bat. Drops are inevitable, though we are still considering upping the current cap to 75 for the next round, or perhaps December's.
► In the same vein, we're thinking of implementing a rolling queue system, which would mean that 1. reserves would be closed indefinitely, 2. applications could be submitted at any time, and 3. applications would be processed as space opens up. We'll probably run a poll on plurk, but you're welcome to comment on this post to let us know what you think!
► New TDMs will only be posted if there's at least 10 available slots.

NPC & SOULIDARITY

► Lüna's fallen in love with Assana. WHICH MEANS. She might become a full-fledged OC in the near future with whom you could have CR if you want! What it DOESN'T mean is that CR with her equates favors. It doesn't. CR =/= privileges. Assana obviously has knowledge that PCs do not possess, but we'll always ensure that all characters have access to the same opportunities. It can be a thin line to cross, and if we do end up messing up somehow, please be sure that we'll always work with you to rectify any mistake! It might not come to pass at all, but we wanted to be transparent in advance, just in case!
► As for the Soulidarity app, wow. We didn't expect it to blow up the way it did! As soon as it hits CAPTCHA, we'll post another permanent entry and adjust the mechanics. The idea is that everyone can repost their top-level on said new entry, and attach a link at the bottom, which would lead to a separate post in each character’s journal ( basically a character inbox entry, just Soulidarity specific ).

so far, the game's opening has been absolutely incredible; i am having the time of my life. thank you for putting everything together, and i look forward to the coming months!🥰

furthermore, i just wanted to state publicly that i welcome assana wholeheartedly. you've been transparent about your oc and not playing favourites re: her plot/lore deliverables from the get-go, which is where, i think, the problem area was in past and recent dw games. this is your brainchild, lüna, and i think you should feel free to play in your own setting. i look forward to seeing her around!

one last note, which i'm addressing to everyone else in the game: if you're late to soulidarity and feel awkward about it or just need an in-character excuse for your character to post to it, i volunteer jonas' services. he's a gen-z and loves to have a good time online; if we've got even the tiniest bit of cr, he would 100% post someone's profile for them. p.s. i don't plan to stop tagging the soulidarity post (i'm gonna treat it like an actual dating app and just tag around in it whenever i feel like new text threads hahahahaha).

hello hello mods! this is a nice update, thanks for communicating with us. really been enjoying the game so far!

i like rolling app queues personally; one thing an old game i was in did was send out a "hey, you're accepted, would you still be interested in joining? please confirm your journal within X number of hours if so" message if the wait started to stretch out over like, a month. just an idea in case things get wacky with a giant queue!

for tdms i think it's also fair if you guys wanted to reuse most of the old prompts, since the notice board will change monthly anyway. or idk, a permanent tdm post with a top level for.. top level links that we can track? THE POINT IS whatever's the least amount of work for you guys!!

also, a calendar question: would you guys consider having the next (possibly last) app round go past AC by a day to account for any sweeps? or to have apps open after AC?

thanks for all your hard work!! it's been great so far, and i enjoy the atmosphere here a lot.

+1 to the confirmation for acceptances - I think that's a good idea and with the possible exception of people who have some sort of RL emergency preventing them from replying, should be a good way to judge who's still interested.

and also 1+ to having apps open at least a day after AC closes!
