if it was just the three of them, shikamaru would say that sakura's plan could work. him and sasuke and sakura. but one thing he's learned about naruto is that for the most part, plans have to be set accounting for naruto being naruto.

he respects the hell out of the guy, but shikamaru knows naruto stands out without trying.

I'm not so sure "Konoha" means much to anyone I've met so far. That said, I'm not about to offer up anything I don't have to. My question is...if Naruto's running around unchecked, what are the odds he hasn't worked being a shinobi into every conversation he's had? ( sasuke probably hasn't mentioned anything because getting sasuke to make small talk is an s-rank mission, even before sakura brought it up. naruto, though...shikamaru doubts the guy will be able to keep up that level of deceit for more than maybe an hour. )
